Competitive Cribbage 2026-27 Season 2: A Fresh Start After a Record Season

Our first officially sanctioned season with the American Cribbage Congress is complete, and it was a record season for Cribbage Pro! More players competed, and more matches were played, than in any previous Competitive Matchmaking season.

Thousands of players from around the world came together for the largest ACC sanctioned cribbage tournament ever held. Thank you to everyone who played, welcomed new opponents, and helped make this first season with the ACC such a success.

Now it is time to celebrate the results and begin again with Competitive Cribbage 2026/27 Season 2. A new season means a fresh start for everyone and another chance to see how far you can climb.

26/27 Season 1 Results

Congratulations to Jahmez13, our 2026/27 Season 1 champion! Dhrun finished second, with iPeg rounding out the top three. Jahmez13 improved on a previous best finish of third place just a few seasons ago, while Dhrun and iPeg have both won past seasons. Just under 8 CR separated second and third place!

Stories Behind the Standings

Our champion and third place finisher had a particularly balanced rivalry. Jahmez13 won the first two meetings with iPeg, but iPeg won the next two. Across those four matches, they split both the match victories, two apiece, and the individual games, five apiece.

There was another close contest between iPeg and fourth place finisher yank29. After splitting their first four meetings, they faced each other again on October 20. iPeg won the match two games to one, with the deciding game ending 121 to 119, to take their season series three matches to two.

Some memorable winning streaks also stood out. GregCrib put together 18 consecutive match victories, including wins over TrumpetJ and Gssj21. bassin928 won 14 matches in a row during a late season push and went on to finish 13th overall.

RobWolves made a remarkable climb, raising their CR from about 3,286 at the end of September to 4,378 at the finish. They won 41 of their final 57 matches, including eight straight victories to close their season, and finished 28th.

Gssj21 did not begin this season until September 9, but made a strong push into the Top 10. They won 89 of their final 140 matches, adding more than 346 CR over that stretch and finishing eighth overall.

The closing days brought opportunities further down the standings as well. Clacha88 won 19 of their final 23 matches, gaining nearly 182 CR during that stretch and finishing 38th. It was another reminder that there were achievements to celebrate throughout the leaderboard.

Congratulations as well to everyone who earned a place in the Top 50, reached a new personal best, or completed their first Competitive Matchmaking season. Whether you were competing for the top spot or working toward your own goal, you helped make this our biggest season yet.

Special awards for the Top 50 include permanent in game board pegs. The first place player earns the "crown" peg, while the other Top 50 finishers earn the "star" peg. Displayed in online multiplayer games, these pegs recognize an achievement you can carry into every future season.

For eligible ACC members (shown with the "*" by the username in the listing below), this season also marked the first ACC Internet Rating Points earned through Cribbage Pro. Please visit the ACC Internet Cribbage website for official ACC results and IRP standings.

2026/27 Season 2: A Fresh Start

The new season resets the competition, giving returning players another opportunity to improve on their last finish and new players a chance to join from the beginning.

The familiar Competitive Matchmaking format continues, with the same matchmaking system, rules, and best of three matches. Complete your five placement matches, establish your rating, and keep competing throughout the season. You can play on your own schedule, without having to be online at a set tournament time.

Participation remains free and open to all eligible Cribbage Pro players. ACC members and nonmembers compete together in the same tournament, on the same leaderboard, for the same Cribbage Pro awards. ACC membership is optional.

Remember Both Match Requirements

Remember that both match minimums matter:

  1. Complete at least 10 matches during each full week after you join the season.
  2. Complete at least 10 matches multiplied by the number of full weeks in the entire season to qualify for the final leaderboard.

Partial weeks at the beginning and end of a season do not have the weekly minimum. See the FAQ for weekly timing and match requirements and the full Competitive Matchmaking rules.

If you are new to Competitive Matchmaking, your account must first reach Classic XP Level 5. ACC members who want their participation recognized should also certify their Cribbage Pro username with the ACC before playing that 5th placement match to qualify for the season.

Thank you to the ACC and to every player who made this first sanctioned season possible. Invite a friend, a family member, or someone from your local cribbage club to join you for the next one.

Open Multiplayer, choose Competitive Matchmaking, and get started in Season 2. Good luck!
